The market town of Ormskirk is situated 13 miles north of Liverpool city centre, 11 miles northwest of St Helens and 9 miles southeast of Southport. The town has a resident population of approximately 19,000 people but when considering the nearby settlements of Aughton, Halsall and Scarisbrick, we would estimate the immediate catchment to be in the region of approximately 35,000 people.

The Hattersley Centre occupies a prominent position on Burscough Road, a few hundred yards from the Town Centre and Ormskirk Rail Station.
